Guarantee and Warranty
All products sold by Cat Tree Furniture have a two-month limited warranty on construction and stability. The warranty covers normal indoor use by household cats and is voided if the product is used outdoors, if it is misused, damaged while transporting (other than initial delivery), used by other animal species, and by acts of nature. This warranty does not apply to carpet wear and tear which is not covered. Please note: the modular construction of some cat furniture permits easy replacement of platforms, leaves, and petals that show excessive wear and tear without the need to replace the entire cat tree. Cat Tree Furniture does not pay shipping and/or handling on warranty returns, but the cost of returning the product to you is covered. Any item returned under this policy will be repaired to useable condition or replaced at the discretion of the manufacturer and returned to the customer. Refunds are not allowed, with the exception of what is stated in our "Return Policy".
Shipping of all Cat Trees will be by a certified shipper such as UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. Most product ships is one box and arrives fully assembled. The Tropical Flower, Purple Passion, Little Sunflower and the medium Black Eyed Susan are shipped in one box but do require some assembly. The Sunflower, Black Eyed Susan, and Little Oak are shipped in two boxes, and the Big Oak and Jack-n-Beanstalk are shipped in three boxes.
Deliveries within Michigan:
We will deliver and assemble some product to any address in the Lower Peninsula of the State of Michigan for a flat fee of $100.00. Email us for further information.
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the Cat Tree you purchased from Great Lakes Cat Furniture you can return the product within 7 days for a full refund, minus the shipping costs, providing:
1. You must call our Customer Service Department for a “Return Authorization Number” (RAN). Any item returned to us without an RAN will be refused. The Customer Service Number is 616-942-6695 (M-F 9AM-4PM EST)
2. All returns to the manufacturer must be in the original shipping containers and wrapped in the protective material as when received. The return shipment must include all manuals and accessories. The Cat Tree must be free of any damage, free of all cat hair, and not have any stains or markings.
3. It is highly recommended that you purchase insurance on the Cat Tree prior to shipping it back to us. It’s normally a minimal amount to protect your investment because you are responsible for any damage to the unit in returning it.
4. Items that are not returnable include: Any “one of a kind” units or any custom built units. Any items that show wear or actual use, items that have been modified or damaged, items missing parts or not in original packaging, pet beds, and litter products.
All shipments are fully insured when they leave the factory. If upon receipt you notice exterior damage to a box, (more than normal “rub” marks) please ask the delivery person to open the box for inspection. If the Cat Tree is damaged in any way refuse delivery, and notify us immediately either by email or phone and we will expedite another unit to you. If the damage is not discovered until after the delivery person has left and you have unboxed the unit, please notify us immediately by email or phone, and we will make arrangements to replace the unit. Remember to keep all containers and packing material in the event the unit is returned or is the shipping company wants to inspect.
Our normal turn time from receipt of order to shipment is between 10 and 12 business days. If you cancel your order and the unit has not yet been built there will be a $25.00 processing fee. If the unit has been built but not packaged for shipment at time of cancellation there will be a 12% cancellation fee (minimum of $25.00). If the order has been built and packaged for shipment at time of cancellation the fee is 15% (minimum of $30.00). If your order has been shipped and is enroute at time of cancellation, the fee is 20% (minimum of $50.00) plus the actual round-trip shipping costs.
Product Photo Representation
Every effort is made to place product pictures on our site that represent the actual colors used by manufacturers. The way those pictures are displayed can vary from computer screen to computer screen, showing different tint or hue. For that reason we cannot guarantee every item will exactly match the color representation on your screen. If you have questions we encourage you to send them to us before ordering.
